Flight Information

A hot air balloon flight is perfect for celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying spectacular aerial views.
Each flight is a unique experience and lasts approximately 40/45 minutes, from takeoff to landing. We fly with the wind, following its direction and speed. You will be in constant contact with nature, with the opportunity to see local wildlife and the contrast created by the different types of crops and plantations in the area.
Mendoza Balloons can accommodate a total of 12 passengers in the largest and most modern hot air balloon in Argentina!
Schedule
Our flights are scheduled all year round at sunset, when the winds are gentler and the atmosphere is more stable.
Confirmation
During the 24 hours before the flight, our pilots will check the weather forecast. If conditions are optimal, you will be informed of the time you should arrive at our take-off site.

In case of cancellation, rescheduling will depend on availability over the following days.

Safety is our priority. We want you to enjoy the experience as much as we do, so no unnecessary risks will be taken.
Transportation Service
Transportation from your hotel or accommodation to our base is not included, but we can provide the contact information of a transport company recommended by us if you would like to request a quote.

Our launch site is located in the Junín Department, just 50 km from the city of Mendoza.
Inflation & Safety Briefing
Once you arrive at the inflation area, the pilot assigned to your flight will give you a safety and operational briefing before the balloons are inflated.

Powerful fans are used to fill the balloons with cold air. Once the balloons reach around 70–80% of their volume, the burners are used to begin the hot-air inflation, causing the balloons to rise and preparing them for takeoff.

This process takes approximately 10–15 minutes.
During the Flight
Flying in a hot-air balloon is a very peaceful experience. There is no turbulence or sudden movement; everything happens calmly and at the pace of the wind, like watching a movie in slow motion...

You can bring your camera or video camera to capture fascinating moments.

Once we take off, our support crew will follow us on the ground until the landing site.
Landing
Towards the end of the flight, the pilot will look for an open area free of crops and animals for landing.
This can sometimes be one of the most exciting parts of the experience. If the wind picks up during the flight, the basket will slow down as it touches the ground while the balloon continues moving forward until it is completely deflated. In some cases, the basket may gently tip onto one side, leaving passengers lying inside the basket.
The pilot will always tell you the appropriate position to take at each moment.
After the Flight
Once the flight is over, our team will pack the balloon.
Meanwhile, we will enjoy a toast with an exquisite locally produced sparkling wine, celebrate our “New Aeronauts”, and present you with a Flight Certificate.
